Once elected, my priorities will be to do the following: 

• Find the root causes of why the cost of living is so high in Athens County, yet we are the poorest county in Ohio. Something doesn’t add up. Our ever-increasing land taxes are astronomical compared to neighboring counties. Even gas prices are higher here. Where is all that revenue going? Our residents have the right to know how our money is being spent and have a say in the budget. I will work to rectify the situation, lower the cost of living, and provide total budget transparency. 
   
• Attract new businesses and higher-paying jobs to the area, including jobs that offer training. 
   
• Encourage and support entrepreneurs and local small businesses. We have a ton of empty buildings, a population full of smart and hardworking people with dreams, and a wealth of grants available to us. All we have to do is connect the dots and we can make Athens County a hub for innovation and growth.                                                                   
• Support the creation of more recreational activities. Our kids and teens are isolated, bored, and addicted to screens. They don’t have places to hang out anymore. We can offer them excitement and community outside of social media. This is why I opened Bigfoot Hollow Paintball, Airsoft, and Laser Tag Park in Glouster. 
   
• Work to find ways to curb the bullying that takes place in our schools. I have witnessed firsthand, as a paramedic, the devastating consequences of bullying. 
   
• Pay Athens County EMS personnel a living wage and offer other critically necessary support for their health and safety.                                                                                        
• Expand Athens Public Transit to include the outlying communities which have been neglected.                                                                                                                              
• I will make sure the voices of Athens County residents are heard. I will ask people what they want and need, actually listen to what they have to say, and work to make that happen. I will serve the public, not rule over them.                                                                
• Encourage more people to run for public office and use my recent experience to guide and support them. We need new ideas and new enthusiasm in Athens County.
